Casa Limonchelo Hotel B&B

Cette chambre d’hôtes qui nous a accueilli ma famille et moi trois nuits dans cette magnifique ville de Morelia, l’accueil de son propriétaire très aimable à grandement collaboré au magnifique séjour que nous avons passé dans cette ville. Idéalement placé, l’hôtel est ancien et à beaucoup de charme. Le petit déjeuner, délicieux, frais, copieux et les conseils de visite de l’hôtelier ont été parfait. Évidemment, si nous avons la chance de retourner à Morelia, ce sera dans cet hôtel.

We were two girlfriends (Americans) traveling together, and we stayed two nights at Casa Limonchelo. This property could not have been more perfect for us! It is about 500 years old, absolutely gorgeous, and in the heart of Morelia's historic center - so you will literally be sleeping on a UNESCO World Heritage Site! This also means the area surrounding the hotel is safe, extremely walkable, and close to everything we wanted to see and do in Morelia. The proprietor, Raúl, was genuinely one of the nicest people we had the pleasure of meeting in Mexico. We looked forward each night to coming home and chatting with him about the day's activities before heading off to our lovely and comfortable room. He was eager to communicate and generously met me where I was at with my mediocre Spanish. He gave great recommendations of places to see and eat in Morelia - including the restaurant that became one of our favorite meals of the trip (Tata Mezcalería + Cocina de Autor, right around the corner from Casa Limonchelo). The price for our two-night stay was extremely affordable and included breakfast, which was delicious (fresh fruit, fresh juice, yogurt with granola, breads and pastries with butter and jam, with the option to add on heartier items for a fee - also, Raúl surprised us with corundas, traditional Michoacán snacks similar to tamales). I would recommend this hotel without reservation! A few things guests should be aware of when booking, even though these did not diminish our experience in any way: 1) The room was not climate-controlled and was a bit stuffy even though the nights were cool to cold while we were staying there. 2) We booked a room with the private bathroom (there are other rooms with shared bathrooms). The room was very spacious, but the bathroom and shower were tiny. 3) I would not recommend leaving the door open for any significant amount of time as we got both mosquitoes and flies in our room that absolutely covered me in bug bites!

Amazing house with rooms facing onto the interior patio, quiet despite being located on the main road, and well located no more than a ten minute walk to all of Morelia's central attractions in a very safe area with plenty of restaurants open late into the evening. Plus the best host/proprietor we've ever had at a hotel or b&b. Can't recommend highly enough.

Don Raul fue super amable, nos brindó un mapa para ir a darnos la vuelta y curiosear en la ciudad, ademas de que nos recomendó varios lugares. La habitación la queríamos justo para dormir y eso es lo que se ofrece. La cama limpia y comoda, aunque él baño un poquito pequeño. Creo que es un sitio ideal dada su cercanía con el centro (llegamos en máximo 15 min caminando al destino "turistico" mas alejado)

El Hotel muy acogedor. Cómo si estuvieras en tu casa. El mejor lugar donde me he hospedado, cada vez que regrese a Morelia este será mi lugar para descansar. Su anfitrión es Raúl Duarte, que es profesional con su trabajo. Atentó, amable... No hay palabras para darle las gracias por como nos atendió. *1000% recomendable*

This is an excellent place to stay—highly recommended! The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the area. The WiFi is fast and reliable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, offering a great start to each day. The house itself is stunning, beautifully maintained, and full of color and charm. Most importantly, the host, Raul, is exceptionally friendly and accommodating, going out of his way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. muchas Gracias Raul

Very nice hotel in a good location. Owner was very friendly and helpful.

Truly a hidden gem of Morelia. The beautiful rooms have high ceilings and the spacious court yard makes it easy to relax. The owner of the hotel couldn’t be more welcoming and gracious. Of course the location is perfect, as even though you can’t hear the bustle of the traffic from the peace of your room, you’re a short walk from all of Morelia’s historic center.
